Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Honourable Robert Simms MLC
Robert Simms MLC, Greens SA Co-Leader is seeking an experienced Office Manager/Executive Assistant to join his office team and help serve the people of South Australia in state parliament.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
- Provides high level executive support to the Member (including, preparing briefing notes, speech notes, minutes, correspondence and research)
- Management of the parliamentary office diary and coordination of the Member’s schedule
- Manages the overall operation of the office (including coordination of office materials and equipment)
- Acts as primary contact for constituent and community issues
- Provides advice and support for the resolution of constituent issues
- Works with senior staff to ensure effective workflow management, accuracy and timely completion of tasks
- Supports the Member and other senior staff in setting goals, monitoring and reporting on performance
- Acts as the site contact for HR, WHS, Security, contractors and other administrative processes
- Develops internal processes and procedures
- Management of the Member’s entitlements and allowances
- Keeps the Member informed about emerging political and community issues
- Other duties as required
The position is employed at Level 2 under the Assistants to Members of the South Australian Parliament Enterprise Agreement 2021 – at a salary of $98,888 (includes 15% overtime payment for work performed outside of normal working hours).
This is a permanent, ongoing position (subject to 3-month probation) and based in the Parliament House office, North Terrace.
