The Government must dump proposed zoning changes for the Park Lands, following news this could enable commercial development and residential apartments in the riverbank precinct, say the Greens.
“The Park Lands are simply not the place for apartment towers,” said the Greens Spokesperson for the City of Adelaide, Robert Simms MLC.
“Our public green space shouldn’t just be the plaything of the wealthy few who can afford to buy one of these apartments, it’s for the whole community to enjoy.”
“South Australians don’t want to see penthouses on our Park Lands.”
“The Liberals must dump this plan to privatise our public space,” concluded Mr Simms.
