The Greens have welcomed news that the Gawler rail line is set to reopen after years of delay and called on the Government to now focus their attention on reactivation of rail to the Adelaide Hills.
“Waiting for the completion of the Gawler rail line has been like waiting for Godot. Today’s announcement will be welcome news for many commuters” said Greens transport spokesperson, Robert Simms MLC.
“We hope that the State Government will now turn its attention to the reactivation of rail to the Adelaide Hills, something desperately needed for those communities.”
