Greens MLCs Tammy Franks and Robert Simms have revealed their portfolio responsibilities for the new parliament (outlined below) and called on the SA Liberals to do the same.
Following the model adopted by Greens parties overseas and interstate, the MLCs will be sharing the state party leadership as 'co-leaders'. Long serving MLC Tammy Franks will be assuming responsibility for the key portfolio of Climate, Environment and Water, while Robert Simms (who was returned at last month's poll) will take on Health and Education.
"Rob and I are really looking forward to continuing to work together to fight for action on the climate crisis and growing inequality, while holding this new Government to account," said Tammy Franks MLC.
"Almost 3 weeks on from the state election, we believe the South Australian people have a right to know who will be taking on what responsibilities in the new parliament. It's now over to the Liberals to show their hand and reveal their line-up. With parliament set to resume in weeks, the Opposition can't be missing in action much longer," said Robert Simms MLC.
